Hello,
I have been a little lackadaisical in my "blogging". Last time I got on for inspiration, I couldn't find anyone who had blogged in the last two weeks. Lots of good blogs today tho'.
Well, I took my friend Amy's advise and went shopping for new outfits. I am a firm believer in that "if you look good, you must be good". So, with all my children out of town for Spring Break, I took time to update my running attire. The items I have from my past "running" life will be perfect for my 5:00 AM runs, but I won't subject you all to them. Nothing more inspiring than new outfits.
I am enjoying my week. It sure is quiet with everyone out of town. My office phone has even been giving me a break. Of course, my cell phone is still in full swing. May actually get something accomplished, tho'. But, have no fear, those children come home. . . . . .
I am enjoying my runs. My running pal, Scout (a boxer), was out of commission Monday. So, it was a little easier to run. I really worked on my speed. Don't think I'm going to leave anyone in the dust. I love Rusty Sumrall's blog about "run like you stole something". I think I will be chuckling about that forever. I hope that person is running this year. I may need that. Interval training makes the run go so much faster. I think I have found a method to the madness, if you will.
Always look forward to my cross training days. I always do fun things like ride my bike or swim. Don't even feel like I've had a workout. Last week I went to this "killer" aerobic class - literally. It was hilarious. It everyone was mamboing to the right, I was going to the left and not necessarily "mamboing". The wonderful thing about it was, there was a yoga class following the aerobics. Now that is more my speed. I was totally "restored" after the yoga class. I think I will be back. I'm even going make to the funny aerobic class. As uncoordinated as I am, I think I can. . . . . .
Off and running . . .

Where do you take the "killer" aerobics and yoga classes and who is "we" in your post about doing the St. Paddy's 5K? I'm slowly leaning toward "walking", and if finished before 9am, still have time to make Marathon Makeover meeting.

Yes, where is this killer class? I want to come watch!
Tracy ~ I'm not going to make the ST.PADDY'S DAY RUN. I've got my 93 year old mother for the weekend and being gone from 9 to 11 is about all I can do. I don't want to leave before she gets up so I guess I'll just have to do the levee with the group. Hope YOU have a great run and I'll see you at the meeting around 9. Merrill

I did the killer aerobics and the wonderful yoga at that other health facility, aka Courthouse NE.
The St. Paddy Day run was a success in that I did it. Kind of like Mark says, the goal is getting there first and then to finish which I did using the interval training. Of course those walkers were zooming by me, but I was passing people before the end. The good news is I did not lay on the couch all day and recuperated like I have done in the past. Actually, took my 13 year old and her friends to the parade. Great day.
You just never know where you are going to see MARATHONERS. Saw some other MM'ers at the run. It was fun. See everyone on Saturday. Have a good week.
Tracy.....it was nice meeting you too! Who da thunk I would meet another MM outside of the meeting? Yeah...the 5k was a great experience for me....plan on doing more of them in the near future. See ya Saturday

I did love doing that St. Patty's day 5K. it was cool to start off with all those people. I finished it in like 28:20 or 30. There were so many people finishing at the same time. I don't remember! I will be ready to get back and see everyone though!
Thank you for asking!!
